Scott Birnbaum

Mr. Birnbaum joined Kohlberg in 2010 as an Operating Partner. He is a currently a member of the board of directors of Engage PEO and Daybright Financial. Previously, he served as Chairman of Chronos Life Group (Fund VI), U. S. Risk (Fund VII), and a member of the board of directors of Risk Strategies Company (Fund VII). He is responsible for investment thesis development, company diligence and portfolio company operations management in the Financial & Compliance Services sector. Prior to joining the Firm, Mr. Birnbaum enjoyed a 30-year career in a variety of consulting and operating roles at Citibank, KPMG, Mercer Management (now known as Oliver Wyman), and AmeriQuest Capital Group. Mr. Birnbaum received both a B.A. and an M.S. from the University of Rochester.
