Ashley Johnson

Ashley Johnson is a Kohlberg Operating Executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience spanning financial strategy, operations, and organizational transformation within large, complex healthcare systems.

Most recently, Ashley served as Group Chief Financial Officer for HCA Healthcare’s American Group. In this role, she oversaw the financial operations of 9 Divisions, which included 90 hospitals across multiple U.S. states and the United Kingdom, managing revenues in excess of $25 billion and supporting a workforce of more than 95,000 employees. Her scope included enterprise-level financial stewardship, performance management, capital allocation, and strategic planning at scale.

From 2017 to 2022, she served on the boards of Methodist Healthcare in San Antonio and St. David’s Healthcare in Austin, where she provided strategic financial oversight, governance leadership, and advisory support to advance long-term growth, quality, and operational excellence.

Ashley began her career at Ernst & Young as a Senior Auditor, where she built a strong foundation in corporate finance, risk management, and regulatory compliance. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Central Florida.
