Bill Welch

Mr. Welch is a Kohlberg Operating Executive and serves on the board of directors of Cadence. He supports the Firm’s healthcare team with operating experience across bio-pharma, diagnostics, and medical technology services. Previously, Mr. Welch served as Chief Technology Officer of Phillips-Medisize. Earlier in his career at Phillips-Medisize, he led the company’s pre-production services organization, which grew into a global team supporting innovation, development, and new product introduction. As a member of the executive leadership team, he played a key role in the company’s transformation into a global device CDMO under Kohlberg sponsorship and supported multiple strategic acquisitions and integrations.
Prior to joining Phillips-Medisize, Mr. Welch spent 12 years in the Tier 1 automotive and electronics industries in technical, supervisory, and business unit leadership roles. Mr. Welch received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth.
