Packaging Dynamics Inc. (“Packaging Dynamics”) is a leading producer of non-commodity specialty printing and packaging papers and converted paper products. Specialty papers are highly customized and value-added in nature, as opposed to commodity-like paper products. The Company manufactures a wide range of specialty bleached and unbleached lightweight papers, which are used by customers to achieve specialized solutions for food and non-food packaging, and pressure-sensitive release base papers, which are used to provide a protective backing for a wide range of adhesive materials, including business and consumer labels, airline baggage tags, food labels and consumer identification labels. Packaging Dynamics further converts approximately 15% of its annual paper production into specialized finished products. The Company converts its lightweight paper into finished base paper and packaging products using plastic resins and aluminum foil to prevent water, moisture, vapor, grease and oils from penetrating packaging structures. Packaging Dynamics also converts its pressure-sensitive release base paper into a wide rage of silicone-coated release liners.
