Jerome Kohlberg

Prior to co-founding Kohlberg & Company, Mr. Kohlberg was the Senior Founding Partner of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. (“KKR”) from 1976 to 1987. Under his leadership, KKR successfully completed over 25 transactions of considerable variety. Before founding KKR, he was a Senior Partner and member of the executive committee at Bear, Stearns & Company. At Bear, Stearns, he was in charge of the investment banking and corporate finance activities of the firm, which included public underwritings, private placements, mergers and acquisitions, and management buyout financings. Mr. Kohlberg is a member of the Board of Managers of Swarthmore College. He received a B.A. from Swarthmore College, an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, and an L.L.M. from Columbia University School of Law.
